Thankyou for visiting the Trial Version 2.0 of Hip e-WorkSheet

This application is designed using the logic an MSK Sonographer might expect to use when creating a standard hip worksheet. A key feature of the application is the Key Finding and Recommended Intervention tool. While this feature may not be appropriate for all users, it aims to give insight into the scope of extended practice for advanced musculoskeletal sonographers.

This Application is intended for use in both clinical and educational settings. An experienced MSK Sonographer may use it to generate a text document or PDF file as a substitute for the Sonographers worksheet. For Sonographers with less musculoskeletal ultrasound experience, simply clicking through the App and becoming familiar with the terminology, may provide an accelerated pathway to producing a higher quality worksheet. The educational component of the App will be expanded in future updates.

While using this App, please keep in mind that it is based on the minimum protocol followed in one particular clinical setting, and that protocols and procedures may be different in your clinical setting. Also be aware that while this App does cover a wide range of typical pathology, it makes no claim to being comprehensive, and may not be appropriate to use in all instances. It is likely that the generated text will require editing. This is best done inside the browser, by clicking anywhere within the worksheet text.

Before using this application, please see the Get Started and Disclaimer sections which are accessed from the top navigation bar.

I hope you find the initial version of this App useful. Any Feedback is welcome, please contact the Developer with any comments, questions or requests for future updates.

SonoApps and Hip e-WorkSheet is developed by Nik Mann.

Nik is an Accredited Medical Sonographer(AMS), and Front-End Web Developer, based in Brisbane, Australia.

This project was initially undertaken to provide an avenue for standardisation of protocols and terminology in performing and reporting findings for Ultrasound Examinations of the Shoulder in a single clinical setting. Subsequently, that vision has extended to that which is now described on the SonoApps homepage. Further planning has begun to expand this initial version to include more educational content, and to implement additional templates for other musculoskeletal and general ultrasound applications.

Please contact the Developer for further information.

e-WorkSheets are designed specifically for use by Accredited Medical Sonographers and are only suitable for use by qualified health professionals.

The text generated by e-worksheet does not represent a medical report. e-WorkSheet is a tool that may assist in the generation of an Ultrasound Worksheet, provided that the links used to generate the text are an accurate description of the pathology imaged on ultrasound examination.

When used in a clinical setting, it is the responsibility of the sonographer or medical professional who uses this application to ensure that any generated text is an accurate description of the ultrasound findings. Any inaccuracies or errors should be edited before the text is saved into any third-party display, or Radiology Information System. Generated text should always be confirmed for accuracy before being submitted to a reporting clinician.

The developer takes no responsibility for any errors in the reporting of ultrasound examinations that may arise from the misuse of this application.

Click on the Start Here button in the page header. This will open the Setup Worksheet window where identifier information can be entered.

Click on any title bar to open a Hidden Section for each region. Hidden sections need only be opened if required as per protocol in your institution.

Click on the appropriate selection from each group of buttons. In general, only one selection from each group will apply. Add Text inputs or dimensions as prompted.

Click the Add Findings button at the end of each Abnormal section to add text to worksheet, or skip these buttons and use the populate worksheet button at the end of the page. Findings from additional sections not selected on the setup window need to be added by clicking the Add findings button in each section.

Click anywhere on the Worksheet to edit the generated text. Be sure to proofread and edit any findings that do not correspond to the appearances demonstrated on your images!

To finish, click either JPEG, or PDF,to save an image, ready to import into your RIS or PACS application. Alternatively, screenshot or snipping tool may used to export the worksheet as a JPEG.

** Important **

e-WorkSheets support the printing or saving to PDF of only the text which is visible within the display window. For worksheets with lengthy content, text not displayed inside the visible window WILL NOT be printed. This can be worked around by deleting unnecessary whitespace in the browser window, or decreasing the window zoom, with 'CTRL and -'' or 'CMD and - ''.

Click below to populate findings to the e-WorkSheet.

** The populate button will add findings to the regions that have been selected on the Setup Worksheet window . To populate additional regions, use the add findings buttons from each individual region.**

** After clicking here, the worksheet can be edited manually, by clicking anywhere on the text. Do not use the populate button after manual edits have been performed, as previously edited findings will be overwritten.**
